Frost Injury

Hosts:  Broad leaved shade & forest trees, shrubs, fruit trees.

Symptoms: Early frost in fall of late frost in spring can lead to frost injury. Plants must acclimate to changes in temperature. Plant species differ in the amount of time require to acclimate.

Control: Don't fertilize plants in late summer, protect young foliage in early spring from low temperatures and make sure to choose suitable plants that are for the area you live in, natives are preferable.
